Ministries
There are many ways to get involved at PSBC! We've listed a few below, and we encourage everyone to find the one that fits you best! For up-to-date information on current events, follow us on Facebook by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the page.
Adults
Each week, our adults gather on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM across several coed small groups to study the Scriptures together during Sunday School. Midweek studies are also offered for both men and women separately on a unit-by-unit basis (see our Events page for the most up-to-date information). Adults are also invited and encouraged to join our Sanctuary Choir, which begins practicing at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays.
Students
Our student ministry gathers upstairs during the Sunday School hour and on Wednesday nights at 6:30 for a time of Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. Students are also involved in a number of other ministries in the church and community, employing the gifts God has given them as volunteers in the Sanctuary Choir, Worship Team, Children's Church, and Vacation Bible School (to name a few).
Children
The Children's Ministry of Poplar Springs Baptist Church is at the very heart of who we are and what we do. We believe that an investment in the spiritual life and health of children is critical, so we offer multiple opportunities for children to grow, serve, and fellowship together. On Sunday mornings, our children meet in their classrooms for Sunday School, followed by the worship experience with their parents, and then on to Children's Church, where they are learning the story of God--and how they fit into it--through their Bible study. TeamKID (Wednesday evenings, 6:30 pm) provides opportunities for children both to learn and serve, as they study the Scriptures, participate in children's choir, and participate in various mission projects (such as packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, Christmas Caroling to homebound citizens, or a variety of other mission and service opportunities.
