OUr Mission

Poplar Springs Baptist Church exists to glorify God and make disciples as a gracious, well-equipped congregation that has a passion for being actively involved in God’s work within a disconnected community.

Serve

We hold that every believer is a priest unto the Lord, gifted and called for service within and outside the church. We aim to equip every believer to discover their gifts and calling and to employ them in ministry within the walls, across the street, and around the world.

Grow

We believe that authentic small group connection is a key to spiritual growth. At 9:00 AM on Sundays, PSBC provides Sunday School classes/small groups for all ages, children through senior adults. We also provide Wednesday night activities that focus on both Bible study and service. Because we believe that God created us to exist and share life in community, we enjoy many opportunities for church-wide fellowship throughout the year.

Connect

Part of our mission at PSBC is to be a place and a people who emphasize the beauty and necessity of connection. Primarily, we believe that our mission at PSBC is to connect people with Jesus, through whom alone salvation is possible (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 4:12). We also recognize that people need connection with other people, and with resources that can help in times of struggle or distress. Because we believe that Jesus cares about all people in all circumstances, part of our mission is to demonstrate His love for our community and ultimately connect people to Him through compassionate community and practical acts of love and service.
